Not only do scriptures not allow women to hold any authoritative office, the Bible says it is shameful for a woman to speak in the church (though this has been abused). This highly unpopular teaching illustrates how far gone our society has become, but scripture is actually quite clear about this.

(Audio - 59 mins, plus Study - 4 pages; Oct 2017)
A short but comprehensive study asserting the Bible's position concerning women serving in the office of either Pastor, Elder or Deacon. In short, there's no obvious pattern in the OT, nor a clear mandate from the NT, to support any female church office positions.

An examination of 1Timothy 5:8, regarding the care a man should have to provide for his own house.

(Study - 1 page; 2010)
We came across this list many years ago. It's intended to provide a list of things to consider as you nurture and admonish your house in the fear of the Lord. May God helps us parents to not allow our life to be the roadblock to heaven, or to sour heaven's honey in their mouths.

Should Christians take up the sword? Is it wrong to prepare a nation for war? Sadly, as Christians in a violent world, we can't dodge this topic - but thankfully, God provides ample scriptures to guide our consciences from undue bondage.

A study designed to break it down for your charismatic friends. They really aren't speaking in tongues, though they've been led to believe that's what they're doing. Speaking in tongues was always the ability to speak a foreign language like a native without one day of language training. It served God's purposes to jumpstart the gospel going into all the world.

(Video - 50 mins, plus PPT slides, Oct 2015)
An extensive study covering miracles and their history in the Bible; the stated purpose of such miracles; significant but little-known facts about miracles; and five reasons why the gift of tongues has ceased. We offer an evaluation of proof texts commonly cited by charismatics, such as Mark 16:17-18, John 14:12, John 11:47-48, Hebrews 13:8, 1Corinthians 12:28, and 1Corinthians 14:2,39. This is a must-read for all who wonder about the practice of the extraordinary gifts, esp. the gift of tongues, in the church.

A good resource to review prior to becoming married. Marriage is only for the here and now; Jesus put the Sadducees to shame when the Bridegroom of the church told them "in heaven men neither marry nor are given in marriage." So why do we have this institution?

(Audio - 48 mins, plus Study - 3 pages; 2005)
A comprehensive, verse-by-verse review of the Bible's passages on marriage and divorce, with attention paid to the topic of remarriage. Excellent resource to read BEFORE you get married.

(Study - 5 pages; updated Aug 2020)
Those championing divorce of a perfectly satisfied but unbelieving spouse may cite Ezra chapter 10 as justification. A close inspection of the Hebrew indicates the strong likelihood that the Jews had common-law unions, or what we'd call shack-ups.
